Stacks Finance was established in January 1999 after an extensive review of the non-conforming commercial mortgage market in 1998. Prior to this time Ray and Paul Stack operated a solicitor’s mortgage practice under the applicable Class Order exemption at the time. Ray Stack has been arranging mortgages since 1966. Stacks Finance also established The Mortgage Fund ARSN 088 928 081, which commenced trading in November 1999. The Mortgage Fund operates as a pooled mortgage trust with approximately $190 million in funds under management and over 1100 investors. Stacks Finance is licensed to operate all types of mortgage schemes and is one of the few companies which are not limited to a specific mortgage scheme. Stacks Finance lends throughout Australia, with a particular focus on the Eastern Seaboard. We service metropolitan and regional New South Wales from our offices in Sydney and Taree and Queensland through our Tweed Heads office. Stacks Finance is a specialist mortgage manager with over 50 years experience in the mortgage market. We believe that our success is based on the trust that our 1100 investors place on our capacity to obtain, verify, approve and manage mortgages on their behalf. Over the past 10 years Stacks Finance has been invited by Members to manage and restructure external mortgage funds on the Eastern Seaboard of NSW. In most cases this will result in a change in responsible entity (or trustee) of the managed fund or the restructure of a mortgage scheme to create an entity which provides a better opportunity for members to recover capital from their fund, usually in cases where the fund is either frozen or in windup.
